Dr. Courtney Tate
I’m Dr. Courtney with Revive Chiropractic and our office is getting ready to open in the Sloan’s Lake area this upcoming fall, in which we are very excited to be able to bring life-enhancing chiropractic care to the area!
I know that most people only associate chiropractic with neck & back pain, but it is so much more than that! The way that we practice chiropractic is solely focused on how your life is being expressed, in which your life is expressed through your Nervous System. We know through science that your nervous system controls and coordinates all of the major functions and systems within the body, i.e. your cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, immune, endocrine, reproductive, and musculoskeletal systems. Whenever your nervous system starts to experience any type of stress, whether it’s from improper biomechanics of the spine, or physiologically, these stress patterns can diminish the way that your nervous system needs to communicate with all of the vital tissues and organs within your body, which can lead to a myriad of dysfunctional issues that many people are afflicted with. These issues can manifest themselves as headaches, migraines, digestive problems, heart-related issues, breathing issues, immune system issues, hormonal imbalance, reproductive system problems, anxiety, sleeping issues, and just about any other dysfunctional problem that people are searching for answers for. What we specialize in is helping people start to reverse these stressful patterns within their nervous system, and as these stress patterns start to unwind, this will allow the body to start the self-healing process, allowing us to become more adaptable to our external environment, helping to enhance our quality of life!
We also have very extensive expertise and experience with taking care of pre/postnatal moms, and children of all ages! A lot of infants are being born in these stress patterns, whether it’s from mom experiencing various levels of stress while the baby is in utero, or from the twisting and pulling that most infants have to endure during the actual delivery process. But if this stress and tension go unchecked for these infants, they can start to develop issues such as colic, reflux, feeding/latching issues, digestive issues, trouble with sleeping, asthma (when older), bedwetting, ear infections, constipation/diarrhea, and many other issues that are keeping these kids from functioning the way that they need to. We’ve seen a lot of these stress patterns also tied to Neurodevelopmental Disorders, such as ADD/ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Behavioral Issues, and Sensory Processing Disorder. This is why we put an emphasis on checking these kids as early as possible, so that we can ensure that they are on track to be able to grow, develop, and thrive as well as they’re intended to!
