A Word From The Owner:
Hi! My name is Ashleigh, and I’m so glad you’re here! I’m honored and humbled to provide acupuncture in Lakewood, Denver, and the surrounding areas since 2018. It’s been my mission to give others the opportunity and space to care for and love themselves.
I want to share my passion with you and help you along in your journey to feeling nothing short of AMAZING! Because honestly, you deserve it!
I know what it’s like to feel rundown and unsatisfied. That’s what encouraged me to try acupuncture for the first time. I was stressed, fatigued, had horrible digestion, I couldn’t sleep, and I was always worried I’d never feel fulfilled. It wasn’t until I tried acupuncture that I began to feel at peace with my body. I loved it so much; I quit my steady, well-paying job to become an acupuncturist!

Meet Our Acupuncturists
Ashleigh Taylor-Schmidt L.Ac., MSOM
Ashleigh is the owner and clinic director of Golden Root Acupuncture. Her passion for this medicine first began as a young adult, working a regular 9-5 job. Feeling a sense of void and a constant outpour of stress produced by her job and lifestyle, Ashleigh turned to acupuncture. She noticed a major shift after just the first treatment and within a matter of months, felt less stressed, more energetic, and more content with her life. Ashleigh then began the journey of becoming a Practitioner of Acupuncture, with the hopes of bringing others the same life-altering experience.
Michelle Dorak L.Ac
Michelle earned her Master’s degree in acupuncture from the Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, Colorado. She is recognized by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) as a certified acupuncturist and is licensed by the state of Colorado. Michelle completed the Acupuncturists Without Borders Level 1 Training, Healing Community Trauma, in January of 2018. She feels acupuncture is an excellent way to support the journey of healing from mental, physical, and emotional trauma, and is eager to share this knowledge with the people she cares for. For fun, she loves to get outside with her adorable dog Sammie, go running and swimming, and spend time with family and friends.
